Special Limited Edition Winchester to Honor the History of Stephenson County Illinois With the intent to honor the citizens and
the history of Stephenson County A & A Engraving announces the
release of the Stephenson County Limited Edition Winchester rifle.
This piece is done on a model 94 in a 30-30 caliber. This Collector's
Grade Winchester is overlaid in 24 karat gold. The highly engraved
artwork is defined with jewelry grade nickel. The engravings on the left side of the rifle's receiver features a map of Stephenson County with the towns highlighted. The map is placed between a picture paying tribute to the Black Hawk War of 1832 and a picture honoring the historic Lincoln-Douglas debate of 1858. The engravings on the reverse side of the receiver pays tribute to the trading post and free ferry crossing established by William “Tutty” Baker that gave Stephenson County and Freeport its economic start. The reverse side of the receiver is completed with a tribute to the agriculture of Stephenson County. All of the engravings on the metal are enhanced with beautiful scroll work. The laser engraving on the American walnut stocks include a turkey and pheasant, both native wildlife to
Stephenson
County. The forearms hold pictures of the stagecoach and the train, both having holding important places in the history of Stephenson County. The medallion on the buttstock features a trophy whitetail deer. The laser engraving is encased in intricately detailed scrollwork. |
