FUNDRAISING:

"We purchased two rifles, one proof, and another one of one. We held a raffle for the one of one and sold 1000 tickets at $10.00 per ticket for $10,000.00. The proof we sold at auction, and it brought $8,000.00 -Needless to say, we were happy with the results of our Centennial rifle project. Thanks for your help." -Lorren D. Henke, Wishek, ND Centennial Committee Member

"Allow me to relay to you the positive feedback we received from the beautiful one-of-a-kind shotgun you created. At trade shows around the country, everyone who passed the gun exclaimed over its beauty. Selling 2,500 tickets was no challenge; we sold the last 300 or so on the first two days at the SHOT show in New Orleans. The raffle raised over $6,000 to support the programs and mission of the Women's Shooting Sports Foundation." -Shawna Thomas, Marketing Director, Women's Shooting Sports Foundation

"The Commemorative Nebraska Back-Back Championship rifle sold for $9,500.00. The rifle created lots of interest and bidding; it was a big success!" - Dave Davis, Dave Davis Realty & Auction Service

"We purchased the proof gun featuring scenes from our county's colorful past, including local bad boy Jesse James. We easily sold 500 raffle tickets at $10 each. One of your representatives helped us exhibit the gun to its best advantage. AS my comments imply, this was the best fund-raiser [we] have ever had. We're grateful for all your help and looking forward to working with you on a Jesse James '73 Winchester, a weapon the notorious outlaw once owned." - Jeanne Ralston, President Friends of the James Farm (The Jesse James '73 was commissioned and quickly sold out).

"We had purchased two rifles, one proof and the other was one of one. We held a raffle with the one of one which we sold 700 tickets at $10.00 per ticket for a total of $7,000.00. The proof we sold as an auction item which raised $5,500.00.We would like to take this opportunity to thank you on the wonderful job you did with your suggestions and expertise regarding these guns. We received many compliments on the Centennial guns and were happy to have you be a part of the success of this project. " - Esther Jangula, Linton Centennial Treasurer, Linton, ND

"The raffle for the Stevens County MN rifle was a big success!!! Their intention was to sell some of the tickets prior to the town's Centennial celebration and the remainder at the event. Needless to say they sold out their 500 tickets at $10 each before the event even arrived, they actually sold it out in 13 days."  - Roger Gerdes

"For the past six years, A&A Engraving has designed and engraved a gold plated shotgun for each of our Hunters Special[s]. Each year the shotgun seems to outdo the year before. We have always been pleased with the quality of the workmanship and the personal attention extended to us from A&A Engraving. Mark [Armstrong] is a dedicated, talented, and professional engraver. We would highly recommend A&A Engraving to any lodge or organization that could benefit from Mark's expertise." - Mike Staniech, Jeff Pravecek, Yankton Elks Lodge #994 (1993) (We still create a custom shotgun for Yankton Elks every year!)

"We sold the Proof rifle at auction for $6100.00 and the oak gun case for $450.00. We sold the raffle tickets in the amount of $6300.00 with almost no effort at all. The tickets I sold were all for 10 tickets at $100.00 each. Perhaps groups should think about selling $100.00 tickets." -Duane R. Medina, ND

"I would like to personally thank you for selling me the Redwood County Commemorative Rifles. What a fine piece of art. I raffled #9 of 10 and the display case for the American Cancer Society Relay For Life. I'm proud to say that it was a great success. I sold tickets for one hundred dollars each which netted eleven thousand eight hundred dollars." - Wayne W., Morgan, MN

"We bought the #6 of 10 gun for Faribault County, MN from you last spring and began our efforts at the Wells Gun Show in March. We ended up selling over 500 tickets at $10 each... - Mike Beckmann, President Wells Rifle & Pistol Club

QUALITY, CRAFTSMANSHIP & SERVICE:

"A year or so ago I was fortunate enough to purchase a Browning BDA-380. While the weapon was in excellent condition when I purchased it, it had a blued finish and the attentions of a good gunsmith could do it no harm. I have to admit that I prefer a weapon that is a bit showy. My "new" weapon is of steel and alloy construction. This meant that to get it nickel-silver finished I would require the services of something other than a "run-of-the-mill" plate shop. I called your Customer Service Department and asked if they could recommend someone to nickel-silver plate the weapon. I wish I could tell you the name of the person with whom I spoke - because I was referred to A&A Engraving in Rapid City South Dakota. I must put in this note: I am over half a century old and have owned, and carried a weapon most of my adult life. I spent 10 yrs. On active military duty - and feel that I have a rather good familiarity with the care of good firearms. When I received my Browning back from A&A Engraving - my wife was initially convinced that they had simply sent me a NEW gun. I have rarely seen a finer job of plating in my experience. Not only was the weapon beautifully refinished in nickel-silver, but A&A's smiths went over the piece from stem to stern re-establishing tolerances. In addition A&A refinished the grips. I wanted to take a moment to thank you and Browning for referring me to a firm with the high standards A&A Engraving has demonstrated by the finished product which was returned to me. Browning can feel confident in any referral made to A&A Engraving. While I started with an exceptional weapon in the Browning BDA-380 - A&A Engraving has made this almost a work of art. Again - thank you so much for having sent me to A&A Engraving."- Duncan G. Tallahassee, FL / In Care of Mr. Charles Guebremont, CEO Browning Arms Corp.

"On behalf of the entire staff at America Remembers, I would like to express our gratitude to everyone at A&A Engraving for the quick turnaround on our new NRA Tribute Rifle. I think this one of the best looking rifles we have worked together on. Your staff is always prompt in "delivering the goods" - but this case was exceptional!" Steve Cunningham, America Remembers (www.americaremembers.com)

"I must admit that I am not surprised to hear that all fifty [Crazy Horse 50th Anniversary Commemoratives] have been sold. To me, your company outdid themselves in the production of this classic commemorative. I look forward to displaying it for many years."
- Glenn S. Taneytown, MD

"I am delighted to have become associated with you. The guns that you engraved for me to give to my staff at the Ranch are absolutely gorgeous and the staff has taken great pride in ownership." - Robert A. Funk, Chairman of the Board, CEO Express Ranches

"The quality and beauty of these rifles exceeded our (high) expectations. Our hats off to you and your company for the excellent artwork and fine workmanship. You truly go beyond perfection. We also want to mention our extreme satisfaction working with your sales rep, Penny Haines-Kramer. Penny made purchasing these rifles fun and exciting. She is a very fine representative for your company and you are fortunate to have her on your sales team. Again, thanks for the quality product." - David & Vicky P. Lindstrom, MN

OUR FINE CRAFTSMANSHIP AND QUALITY IS NOTHING NEW - Some letters from our past 25 years in the commemorative firearms business

"I want to thank you for the outstanding workmanship you did on our 25 Winchester 94 carbines. After people saw the great detail work and overall engraving we could have sold more guns. In talking to the people who purchased the guns they are very, very pleased with your work. I feel one of the assets in selling these guns, besides your workmanship, is the time you had them ready for delivery. Most of us felt it would be fall before we could get them, but when you said the first part of June, and we had them the first of June, people were really pleased. If we ever have a project like this again you will be whom we will contact for the work." - Jerry Saults, Chairman Gordon Centennial Gun Committee, 1984

"We wish to thank you for your work, which is serving to make our Centennial a success. The 25 rifles are a subject of admiration wherever they are displayed. Everyone that purchased one are well satisfied and proud of their rifle. Some business owners, who have the rifles on display, report that they have been offered far more than they have invested. Your work goes beyond craftsmanship and we believe you are a true artisan." - Carl Dierks, Chadron Centennial Inc. 1984

"I want to express to you our appreciation and thanks for the outstanding work done on the gun for our Buffalo Gap Centennial. We are truly proud of the gun. To date we have taken in $2,000 since the last of January, 1986. We have 6,000 tickets being circulated as of April 16, 1986. Our little town of Buffalo Gap, with a population of approximately 200, feels the gun ticket sales are carrying our expenses for our Centennial. Again, thank you for such a beautiful piece of work. I would highly recommend you and your gold plating and engraving to anyone." - Marion T. Chairman, Buffalo Gap Centennial 1986

GUN DEALERS

"Thank you for the generous transfer fee, most of the time I fight for 5 or 10 bucks but here you guys come with $25 per gun. I was surprised at some of the people you sold those guns to, but as you said it's the people who feel a strong connection to the county I guess, they were all very pleased with their guns also. I sold a safe or two, a 9mm, a rifle and lots of smaller items, I also got some customers back in here who have not been here for some time. This was definitely a good situation and anytime you guys want to do some guns in this area, please let me know." - Dennis Hooth, Denny's Guns (our standard transfer fee is now $40)
