Turnaround Times

All orders are subject to availability of firearms and are produced by hand by our in-house artisans on a per-order basis. Most commemoratives are processed and ready for delivery within 3 months from receipt of complete order and deposit. Shipping time is not included in turnaround time. Once the shipment is handed over to the carrier, we cannot guarantee timeliness or exact delivery dates.

What Can Cause a Delay in Turnaround Times?

Many factors determine turnaround times, including but not limited to firearm availability, level of embellishment, extent of customization, and seasonal or unexpectedly high order volumes. Should an unforeseen delay appear regarding an order, A&A Engraving, its partners and representatives, will make the utmost efforts to notify customers in a timely manner.

RUSH Delivery and Deadlines

We understand there are occasions when orders are needed sooner than our typical turnaround time. A RUSH order is defined as any commemorative order needed in less than 3 months' time or any custom commemorative needed in less than 6 months' time.

A Deadline is defined as the final day an order needs to be completed and ready for shipping (as opposed to an "in-hand" date, which is when the customer needs an order in their hands). We cannot commit to a specific deadline until we've received full order details from the client including deposit, artwork approvals, and FFL.

SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES FOR CHRISTMAS DELIVERIES

All Orders for Christmas 2017 Delivery must by received by October 16, 2017. Last Shipping Date is December 11, 2017. Final payments must be received by December 1, 2017 for delivery.

Alterations in Product Specifications

As with all custom work, minute variations are inevitable. Occasionally, a project may be altered due to firearm unavailability or manufacturer updates or changes which are out of the control of A&A Engraving, Inc.  In such cases, A&A Engraving, its partners and representatives will make the utmost efforts to notify customers of such changes before processing orders.

What is included with my purchase?

Each purchase should include the original manufacturer's box and paperwork, a Certificate of Authenticity, and care instructions. Select commemoratives may also include a custom display case.

May I fire my commemorative firearm?

All commemoratives are fully functioning firearms and remain fully functional after embellishment; however, we do not recommend collectable and commemorative firearms for any purpose other than display.

The electroplate finishes are not meant to be durable finishes for everyday use. In particular the “Gold Standard” 24 karat gold finish is a soft metal that tends to scratch easily, making it impractical for the wear and tear of frequent use. Although 24-karat gold is a rare choice of finish, it was chosen for its unique soft luminescence that has, with time, defined A&A Engraving's signature look.

Care of Your Commemorative Firearm

When handling your commemorative firearm, use soft gloves or a soft non-abrasive cloth. Remove any fingerprints immediately. Oils in the skin can cause corrosion to exposed metal.

Whether on display or in storage, keep a light coat of gun oil on all metal parts.

If you live in a humid or coastal environment, check your firearm frequently for signs of corrosion.

DO USE: A soft, non-abrasive cloth (such as cotton or flannel) dampened in gun oil to gently remove fingerprints.

DO NOT USE: Prepared polishing cloths, tarnish removers, polishing compounds, or paper products, such as tissues or paper towels.

We use WYPALL® brand cloths and Tri-Flow® brand lubricant on all of our commemorative firearms.
